Unexpected (And Exciting!) Changes to My 2015 Branding Process

Since the official launch of my branding services this past summer, I've had the opportunity to work with 8 creative entrepreneurs, streamlining their business's visual identity through professional, cohesive brands and websites. And while many of my design practices have been successful, I'm making a couple changes to my branding packages for 2015 to simplify my process and better suit my clients. While the design process itself hasn't changed significantly, there are a couple changes that have me stepping outside of the box...

1 DESIGN PACKAGE

I like providing options and variety, but I'm even more passionate about giving each of my clients the full design experience of both a brand and a website. Not only do I work best when I'm able to design for every detail of a client's business; offering one complete package allows me to pull together a more cohesive, professional visual identity.

The Brand + Website Design Package includes:

1  |  Comprehensive questionnaires for your brand, client experience, and website

2  |  Logo design, signature patterns, illustrations, type combinations, and brand guidelines

3  |  Desktop and mobile website design, blog design, and e-commerce, along with social media design

4  |  Four collateral items of your choice. Examples include: business cards, notecards, thank you cards, letterhead, label/sticker design, invoices, contracts, pricing catalogs, print or social media campaigns, newsletter, media kit, lookbook

2-Week Turnaround Time

I work best when I can focus solely on one client at a time. For 2015, I'm reserving 2-week blocks of time for each of my clients and so that I can give my undivided attention to their design project. This new schedule allows me to spend more time designing for each client than I'm currently able to spend juggling 5 projects in a 10-week timeframe. Once my clients book my services, I provide them with comprehensive questionnaires for their branding and website so that everything is ready to go when their design time begins. Two-week turnaround times are much more manageable on my end and allow my clients to receive a better-designed visual identity in a shorter amount of time. It's a win-win for everyone!

Here's a look at what that 2-week process looks like:
